The external one of the Heywood Civic Theater remodeled in an outdoor art gallery, thanks to artists from all over the Grand Manchester.
Last year, the Culture Cooperative of the local artistic network asked artists interested in creating illustrations to demonstrate holes that cover Heywood Civic while it is closed for primary renewal.
Sixty artists presented 90 works of art before the last ten decided through the cultural pioneers of Heywood, a panel of local residents.
This week, the artists were invited to the body lance site Stephen Shaw Mc Way in the city, to see the gallery for the first time when officially made known.
The advisor Sue Smith, a member of the Communities and Cooperation Cabinet in the Council of the Municipal of Rochdale, said: “This regeneration program has to do with art and culture, so it is a better way to provide some of our Talented artists, even if the site is closed alone.

Karen Jelenje, resident of Heywood, founded her paintings titled “Spinning in Time” in the commercial legacy of the city, celebrating the generators and those who painted there using colorful colors for a tapestry effect. “It’s my very first commission too so I’m happy to see it on display as part of this gallery.”

The Art Gallery will be exhibited until the end of this year and has been financed through Preston Construction Entrepreneur as a component of its social value.
They are recently transforming Heywood Civic, with paintings that comprise an extension to the front, a new bar, new seats, updates and sound. The position is also more available for visitors and artists.
The paintings in Heywood are delivered through the Rochdale Development Agency on behalf of the Council and its trust and end until the end of 2025. Their trust will then prepare the time before reopening to the public.
