Three men from the United Kingdom have been charged in connection with the death of Curry House Sharif Rahman in Owen Sound, Ontario, who died following an attack in 2023.
Rahman died after chasing three men out of his restaurant over an unpaid bill.
On Wednesday, police announced that 24-year-old Robert Evans had been charged with manslaughter in connection the incident.
They also said Robert Busby Evans, 47, has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to commit indictable offence while 54-year-old Barry Evans was arrested on Oct. 29 and charged with accessory after the fact to commit indictable offence.
The 3 men are waiting to be extradited to the United Kingdom, before the OPP.
Ontario Provincial Police Det. Insp Jane Conway told where the men came from when she spoke to reporters on Wednesday, but thanked Police Scotland for their efforts.
“Although it is too early to give a timeline for extradition, we are pleased to announce that the defendants have been arrested,” he said.
Conway also did supply data on the men’s connections and said it may just jeopardize extradition efforts.
