BUTLER, Pa. (AP) — The fallout has continued since the July 13 killing of former President Donald Trump during his crusade in Pennsylvania that claimed the lives of a bystander and the alleged gunman, according to officials.
Gunshots were heard shortly after Trump took the stage at the event, and one of the bullets hit Trump’s right ear.
Secret Service agents surrounded Trump as he hid the podium, as blood ran down his face.

Thomas Matthew Crooks went to the protest site the morning of the shooting, spent an hour there and then returned home, according to the FBI.
At 1:30 p. m. m. , Crooks took a rifle from his house and told his parents that he was going to the shooting range, the FBI said.

At 6:08 p. m. , police video captured Crooks on the roof, the FBI said.
At 6:11 p. m. m. , a local police officer jumped onto the roof and encountered Crooks, who pointed a gun at him, the FBI said.
The officer immediately fell from the roof, the FBI said, and the shooting began 25 to 30 seconds later.

The shooter fired up to 8 shots from an AR-style rifle while perched on a rooftop adjacent to the scene and two or three hundred meters away at the time of the shooting, law enforcement sources told ABC News.
Another shooting occurred when snipers from Trump’s Secret Service killed the suspected shooter.
A bystander who was seated behind the former president at the rally was killed and two others were seriously injured, according to authorities.
Secret Service agents temporarily escorted Trump off the rally level and into a waiting vehicle.
There appeared to be blood on Trump’s right ear as he left the stage, and he can be seen saying “fight” and brandishing his fist.
