Featured Journalist
Jovanna joined Community Impact as a journalist in July 2023. As a background reporter, she covers the North Houston area, adding Cy-Fair, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring-Klein, and the Lake Houston area. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in December 2021, where she majored in mass communication with a minor in multiplatform journalism and a minor in art writing, and was part of the staff of the campus newspaper, The Houstonian. When she’s not writing, Jovanna enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and doing fitness.
Government Journalist
Lizzy joined Community Impact in August 2022 and covers government in Conroe, Jersey Village, Magnolia, Montgomery, and Tomball. Prior to CI, she worked for Southlake Style Magazine. Lizzy graduated from the University of North Texas in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minors in history and political science. When she works, Lizzy enjoys spending time with her dog, Twix, or watching real TV.
