Russian Telegram channels broadcast a video showing a “Ukrainian policeman” spraying fake blood on a doctor at the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, who was seriously injured in a missile attack on July 8.
Source: Ukrainian Center for Combating Disinformation (CCD), which debunked the video as fiction and refuted attempts by Russian propagandists to present the video as authentic.
“After verifying it with the National Police of Ukraine, the Center announces that this video was staged by Russian propagandists,” the RCD said.
The experts analyzed the video and discovered several facts that showed that it was staged.
First of all, the uniform and shoes worn by the “policeman” and the “doctor” are perfectly clean, while everyone who ran to the scene of the attack had their clothes covered in dust.
Secondly, in the video, the “national police officer” does wear a belt – weapon, holster, radio, first aid kit, etc. – or a helmet cover, and the location of the national police insignia does comply with uniform regulations.
Analysts also paid attention to footwear. The “policeman” wears boots. However, Ukrainian police officers have been dressed in special shoes for some time.
The “doctor” himself aroused the suspicions of the CCD.
“The hair of the ‘doctor’ in the video of the Russian propagandists looks like a wig, according to all visual indications. The fabrics of the clothes in reality and in the video are absolutely different. In addition, a real doctor’s uniform has a cut horizontal seam on the back, while the Russian actor’s uniform does not,” CCD said.
