CHAPEL HILL, NC — UNC Health and Duke Health, are working together to create a new children’s health system in North Carolina, featuring the state’s first freestanding hospital dedicated to caring for kids.
The two presented on Tuesday plan to identify a children’s hospital for 500 beds, a means of childhood ambulatory care and a medium of behavior fitness for children.
The complete child physical fitness campus will be in a site that is not yet known in the triangle and will come with a forged and schooling study business supported through the medical schools of the two universities.
The Association aims to provide specialized pediatric care, which allows families throughout the State to remain in North Carolina, while complex attention.
“This is an unprecedented partnership between UNC Health and Duke Health, aimed at elevating the care that’s available for all children in North Carolina,” CEO of UNC Health and dean of the UNC School of Medicine Dr. Wesley Burks said. “I’m delighted to work with our colleagues at Duke to create something that will make all North Carolinians proud and change lives for generations to come.”
