Up to 500 loose COVID tests to be conducted this weekend at Cape Coral’s inbound/outbound service site

Up to 500 loose COVID-1 tests can be performed sunday at the Chester Street Resource Center in Cape Coral.

These tests require a prescription. This is a combined effort through the Florida Department of Health in Lee County, the Cape Coral Fire Department and the Cape Coral City.

Testing will start at 8:30 a.m. Sunday and continue, weather-permitting, until 4 p.m. or until all available tests have been administered. Two drive-thru lanes and one walk-up lane will used at the 4816 Chester Street site.

Nasal swab tests may be performed for those over the age of 18. Children may be derived for testing at the Florida Department of Health in Lee County.

This site is located between Lee Tran bus routes along Cape Coral Parkway and Miramar Street.

Chester Street opened on June 30 with a one-way review of the virus to decrease the burden on other checks, such as the Lee Field’s Page Field Field and CenturyLink Sports Depatment checkup, either at Fort Myers.

On-site appointment tests will be conducted from nine a.m. to two p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
