Since August 2022, the trio has been publishing weekly discussions about what’s happening in the world, from politics and culture to everything in between. The podcast is intended to be a sort of live panel discussion between the three of them, giving voice to the perspectives of Black queer voices on the many ups and downs of the past two years. More recently, some of the topics they have explored in the exhibit include the history of the word “diva,” a breakdown of primary disputes in the music industry, and student-led protests on school campuses in reaction to the Palestinian genocide.

Attendees can delight in candid, compelling discussions of difficult issues and plenty of laughter; That’s what display enthusiasts will tell you they’ll be waiting for when they dive into Vibe Check. The quotes between the 3 hosts draw you in and make you feel like you are silently participating in their weekly updates. With wonderful humor, empathy, and insight, they attempt to get to the bottom of existing issues and trending incidents in pop culture.

If you like thoughtful conversations about social justice issues and those that intersect with art and culture, then Vibe Check is for you. From police violence to attacks on gay men in Hollywood, to the latest Republican craze and reflections on videos like “American Fiction” and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” the trio takes up a lot of ground in an hour-long episode. The eclectic nature of their dialogues with others means that listeners can engage blindly and engage, either through the subjects themselves or through the honesty and wit with which they approach them.

Vibe Check doesn’t invite special visitors to the podcast, but when they do, they know how to select them. With credits ranging from the “iCarly” reboot to “Kenan” to “Insecure” to “Better Call Saul,” Laci Mosley has lent her talents to a wide variety of television appearances. She also hosts her own award-winning podcast, Scam Goddess, “dedicated to fraud and all who practice it!” »Along with the Vibe Check trio, we expect Mosley to inject her wry sense of humor into the comings and goings of the night and maybe even a little crossover of hers with her true crime analyzes of some notorious fact scams.
