Yankees Legend Mickey Mantle signed Gem Mint 10 rookie auctions for $111,000

A rookie card signed through Mickey Mantle was sold at auction on Saturday.

According to Goldin Auctions, the 1952 Topplaystation card indexed in very high production conditions sold for $111,000.

According to the list, the map is “only 3 examples in its level” and includes “the signature of the blue marker excellently accurate and conscientiously represented”.

The Mantle card is the most valuable and coveted sporting memory. In April 2018, Ryan Cracknell of Beckett.com noticed that a PSA nine MINT edition sold for $2.88 million, “more than double the previous card record.”

The only baseball card that sold for a consistent amount with the well-known T206 Honus Wagner at $3.12 million in 2016.

The first full season of MLB Mantle was in 1952, playing 96 games with the New York Yankees the previous year. The Hall of Fame finished third in the American League MVP through the vote in ’52 after posting a .311/.394/.530 with 23 home runs in 142 games.
