“He came to spring school and was running into some things. Boone revealed that New York had selected the organization’s top logical perspectives, Clarke Schmidt and Deivi Garc, reaching the Yankees’ alterlocal education site.

“What we saw during spring training, what we saw here now at summer camp, was excellent,” Boone said. “I feel like for a guy who hasn’t had a wonderful variety of delight in the minor leagues yet, he’s also pretty polite. So I hope it happens and continues to expand and pitch and can be okay in the direct conversation to be with us this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was, and not only if it was, but it also plays a wonderful role for us. \ “
The Yankees also announced Tuesday that Schmidt won the James P. Dawson Award for Best Rookie in the organization’s spring training. In four appearances, the right withdrew 8 of the 7 executives this spring.
